Active Club & Bank Coordinating Lifejacket Sharing on Rogue River
The drowning of a 7-year-old boy in the Rogue River in Grants Pass last week has inspired some people to offer the free use of lifejackets at popular spots along the river.
The Grants Pass Active Club and Umpqua Bank are coordinating the project.
They want to set up shacks at popular spots along the river where people can get a lifejacket if they don't have one.
Dakota Vincent had gone with family members to Baker Park in Grants Pass to cool off in the river after a day of moving into a new house in a nearby community.
