Burglar Suspect Chased Down by Homeowner; Jailed!
Joseph Edward Bean, 29, is in the Jackson County Jail on charges of 1st and 2nd degree burglary, 3rd degree theft and possession of heroin with bail set at $50,000.
Brian Guyette, 36, came out of his home into the attached garage at 12:40 a.m. Tuesday morning and saw Bean inside.
Bean fled with Guyette in pursuit dialing 911 on his cellphone. Guyette caught Bean in about a quarter mile down a foot path and took him to the ground and detained him until police arrived.
Several items taken from the garage were already piled up outside the residence.
Police said they were grateful for the pursuit and detainment, but added it was still a risky move, not knowing if Bean was armed.
