GP Names New Football Coach, GP BBall Teams at North Medford Tonight & Tuesday's Scores
Grants Pass High School has named a new Head Football Coach. Matt Kennedy has been tabbed as the new leader of the Caveman Football Program. Kennedy is a teacher at Grants Pass and was the head freshmen coach last year. He will take over the Grants Pass football program that finished in sixth place in the 6A Special District 1 with a 6 and 5 overall record in 2024.
Grants Pass Basketball teams travel to Medford to play the Black Tornado at the Oakdale Middle School gym adjacent to Spiegelberg Stadium. The Cavemen look to keep their playoff hopes alive with a win. They tip at 6:00 p.m . the Cavers, already slated to host a playoff game on March 4th tip off at 7:30.
In action last night in the Southwest Conference the South Medford boys handed Roseburg an 85 to 55 loss while the Lady Panthers also won 70 to 12 over the Indians. The Sheldon boys remain undefeated in conference play handling the South Eugene Axe 60 to 46. The Sheldon Girls also held form out scoring the Axe 57 to 19.
Checking the Valley Schools Hidden Valley boys defeated Klamath Union 59 to 32. The North Valley Boys downed Brookings-Harbor 49 to 44. The Lady Knights also picked up a win over Brookings-Harbor 26 to 21. One final game last night had the Rogue River girls losing to St. Mary’s 57 to 32
