The Temporary Board of Other Elective Administrative Officers met at 9 a.m. to discuss the process of interviewing for the Josephine County Commissioner vacancies.
One applicant, Kirk Brust, withdrew himself from consideration. Because of Veterans Preference, nine applicants will now be considered for the vacant positions on the 18th. At 9 a.m., the interviews will commence in the BCC Conference Room, with the final interview starting at 5:30 p.m.
There will be a 10 minute break between each interview. All applicants will be asked six questions, and given five minutes to answer each one. The temporary board will score on a scale of 10 for each question.
The board will then meet Thursday at 9 a.m. for the appointment of Josephine County Commissioner Position's one and two. The applicants chosen to fill the two vacancies will be sworn in Monday the 23rd.
The community is welcome to attend but must comply with the clear bag policy. The interviews will be streamed at www.josephinecounty.gov/livestream.
