City Announces Redwood Highway Tree Removal Plan
The City of Grants Pass has announced its Redwood Highway Tree Removal Plan
According to a release posted to the city's website, Grants Pass has held the Tree City USA designation for over 30 years. With the building of the new Water Treatment Plant continuing, the city is taking steps towards the preservation of trees in the area.
A new raw water pipeline is going to be installed along U.S. Highway 199 near the new plant site. This will ensure reliable water service will be provided to the community for generations to come. Some trees will need to be removed beginning February 16th for the work on the pipe to continue.
The city says every effort will be taken to "minimize the impact and maintain the beauty of our community.” You can view the Redwood Highway Tree Removal Plan at www.grantspassoregon.gov.
