IVFD and AMR Responded to Fatal Crash on Redwood Highway in California
Josephine County emergency agencies responded to a fatal crash on Redwood Highway in extreme northern California at the beginning of the weekend.
On Friday shortly after 7 p.m., the Illinois Valley Fire District and American Medical Response were dispatched to the two-vehicle collision on US Highway 199 around 8.5 miles south of the Collier Tunnel. Gasquet Fire also responded.
IVFD officials confirmed there was one fatality and one person was transported to an area hospital from the crash scene. No other information was available.
The fatal crash was being investigated by California Highway Patrol (CHP).
