Corrections Client Arrested for Generating Several Service Calls near Walmart
A corrections client was arrested for violating terms of his probation by generating multiple calls for service near the Grants Pass Walmart yesterday.
Grants Pass Police responded to reports of a male subject acting aggressively while riding a bicycle in the parking lot of the big box retailer on NE Terry Lane at about 1:45 p.m. Thursday.
Police said 31-year-old Ryan Kelly Hale intentionally rode his bike into another man, causing the man to wield a baseball bat to keep Hale away from his wife. They said Hale rode away from the couple, but used his fist to pound on vehicles as he headed toward Fred Meyer.
According to the report, both parties were uninjured and neither wished to pursue any charges.
Officers located Hale and placed him into custody. He was lodged at the Josephine County Jail on a no-bail probation detainer. His Jackson County corrections officer was contacted and he was transported to the Medford jail facility later in the day.
