Deputies Snared Local Felon on 3 Outstanding Warrants & Added New Charges
The Josephine County Sheriff's Office jailed a local felon on three outstanding warrants and added more charges to his criminal bill late last week.
The Sheriff's Office reports deputies arrested 40-year-old Jeffrey Michael Zink in an unspecified location last Friday morning.
Deputies said they were out with multiple vehicles including a Ford pickup driven by Zink. A routine records check showed he was wanted on an Oregon State Parole Board warrant, a Douglas County warrant and a Cow Creek Tribal PD warrant.
Charges contained in the warrants included Parole Violation related to convictions for Mail Theft and Identity Theft, 2nd-Degree Theft and failing to appear in court for Furnishing False Information to Police. The suspect initially provided deputies with a false name and resisted efforts to place him into custody.
Zink was transported to the Josephine County Jail where he was booked on the warrants along with new charges of Resisting Arrest, Criminal Trespass and Furnishing False Information to Police. He was being held on a no-bail detainer.
