OSP Snared Azalea Woman on Bench Warrant after Interstate 5 Traffic Stop

The Oregon State Police arrested an Azalea woman on an outstanding warrant during a traffic stop on Interstate 5 in the North Valley area early today.

According to OSP, troopers pulled over a Subaru Legacy driven by a 45-year-old man in the northbound lanes of I-5 near milepost 65 at 12:24 this morning.

Troopers said they stopped the vehicle for a traffic violation and learned that the driver had a suspended license and no insurance. They contacted the 28-year-old female passenger and discovered that she was wanted on a local bench warrant for failing to appear in court for 2nd-Degree Theft.

The passenger was lodged at the Josephine County Jail on the warrant while the driver was cited for the moving violations. His vehicle was impounded.
