GP Police Arrested Man for Breaking into Car at Parkview Head Start Center

Grants Pass Police arrested a man for breaking into a vehicle at the Parkview Family & Child Center early yesterday.

The Police Department reports officers responded to the car clouting incident in the 900-block of SE 8th Street on Thursday around 8:35 a.m..

Police said a woman called 9-1-1 after she found the 23-year-old male subject inside her friend's vehicle. The caller ordered the man out of the car and he returned a pair of prescription sunglasses while pleading for her not to call law enforcement. The man fled the scene knowing that police were on their way.

According to the report, the man later returned to the incident location to beg for the woman's forgiveness. That's when officers arrived and placed him into custody.

The suspect was lodged at the Josephine County Jail for Unlawful Entry into a Motor Vehicle and 2nd-Degree Theft. He was also trespassed from all Head Start locations in Josephine County.
