The Grants Pass Cavemen defeated the South Eugene Axmen 70 to 14 last night at Mel Ingram Field to push their record to 8 and 0 overall and 6-0 in conference to claim the Southwest conference championship.
The Grants Pass Cavemen can claim the Southwest Conference Championship with a win this Friday night during their Homecoming game against the South Eugene Axmen. Grants Pass is undefeated and is in line for a top four seed in post season play while the Axmen are still looking for their first win of the season. However, South Eugene does present a passing attack that can be dangerous.
Game of the Year! Cavemen Vs. Tornado, Tonight at Mel Ingram
Tonight, for the 115th time, the Grants Pass Cavemen and the Medford Black Tornado square off on the football gridiron in one of the longest standing rivalries in the state. Add to that fact both are undefeated with tonight’s winner having the inside track to the Southwest Conference Championship plus there are statewide implications with both teams being talked about in the top five in Oregon.
The Grants Pass Cavemen put their 4 and 0 record on the line at Mel Ingram Field against the 3 and 1 South Medford Panthers Friday night. Both teams have played the Sheldon Irish with Grants Pass winning by two, and South losing by 15.
Grants Pass High School has a limited amount of reserved tickets available for Friday night’s game against South Medford on both the covered and uncovered sides of Mel Ingram Field. They are $10 each on a first come first served basis.
