State Report Card on Schools Due Out Thursday
The District Seven School Board was informed the State report card for schools is due out this Thursday and while District Seven may not be in the top ten percent, the local schools are medium to very good.
More detailed data will be included in this year’s schools report cards increasing the size from one page last year to several pages per school.
The top grade will be a 5 that includes the top 10 percent of schools, 4 will include 44 percent to 90 percent, 3 is 15 to 44 percent, 2 from 5 to 44 percent, and a grade of five will indicate the school is in the bottom five percent statewide. District seven is expecting several schools will receive a 4 and some a 3.
The Board also recognized Grants Pass High School student Nathan Kasdorf has been selected to participate in the U.S. Army’s All –American Marching Band. Nathan is one of 8 or 9 trombonists selected nationwide and is one of just two students selected from Oregon to participate in the band.
The band will be seen live on January 4th performing in the All-American Bowl football game.
