Snowfall likely in southern Oregon
The National Weather Service has issued a statement today saying that snowfall is likely in many parts of southern Oregon.
An early season front is bringing snow levels down in elevation as well an increased chance of thunderstorms this afternoon into early evening. Snow levels are predicted to descend into the Cascade Mountain passes this evening and several inches of snow are predicted in areas above 4,500 feet. The snow level may drop even lower during thunderstorm activity.
Snow is predicted to melt quickly on most road surfaces except in the Crater Lake area.
