Suspected Bank Robber and Accused Murderer both made Court Appearances Tuesday
Accused murderer Donald Lee Easley and suspected bank robber Mark Alan Cardinal, each made brief court appearances before Judge Pat Wolke today, basically to set their next court appearance.
Easley, charged with felony murder and unlawful use of a weapon in the shooting death of his neighbor, Leron Justin Estes, will next appear on October 24th at 1:00 p.m.
Easley was arrested on the same day within minutes of the arrest of Mark Alan Cardinal for the robbery of the Chase Bank in Fred Meyer on Monday the 16th, after being seen headed to California on the Redwood highway by officers transporting Easley from his Kerby home to Grants Pass.
The Gasquet, California native has since been linked to two other bank holdups in the area and is charged with three counts of felony robbery, five counts of theft, and one count each for robbery one and two.
His next court appearance is scheduled for October 15th.
Neither Easley nor Cardinal has yet to enter a plea.
