72 percent containment reached on Douglas Complex
The Douglas Complex of Fires north of Glendale is now rated at 72 percent containment. The fire has burned 46,932 acres and is being staffed by 1,891 firefighters, 64 engines and 10 helicopters. Firefighters expect to have the Douglas Complex completely contained Sept. 1.
The Big Windy Fire 25 miles northwest of Grants Pass has reached 20 percent containment. 1,052 firefighters, 45 engines and six helicopters are fighting the fire that has burned 16,496 acres in total.
The Labrador Fire northwest of Cave Junction remains steady at 2,023 acres burned. 75 personnel, one engine and three helicopters are manning the Labrador.
