The driver, Garcia-Nava was spotted fleeing on foot and jumping fences. He was taken into custody without further incident. He had an active warrant for an Unlawful Delivery of Heroin parole violation. He was lodged in jail and his vehicle was seized. A search warrant of the vehicle was executed August 23rd, and multiple grams of fentanyl, meth, and marijuana were located, along with a digital scale, and a loaded semi-automatic handgun. Deputies filed the additional charges and entered a warrant for Garcia-Nava’s arrest.

On September 19, Garcia-Nava attempted to elude a traffic stop before crashing. He continued to elude on foot, discarding a shoulder bag, and was arrested without incident. Following an approved search warrant of the bag, officers located heroin, fentanyl, meth, a digital scale, and drug packaging.
