Assault at Baker Park partially severs the victimís ear
An assault at Baker Park at approximately 8:00 p.m. Thursday left the victim with a partially severed left ear and a stab wound to the head.
Authorities say they received a report of a stabbing at the park and upon arrival they located 22-year-old Shelby Acosta near the entrance of the park bleeding from the left side of his head and he was missing the top of his left ear. Acosta was transported to Three Rivers Medical Center where they reattached the portion of ear and he was treated and released.
Detectives determined the suspect to be 40-year-old Dena Renee Linton and they contacted her at her residence at 513 N.E. 6th St. Apt. B where she was arrested and lodged in jail on a first-degree assault charge.
