Grants Pass School Board Votes Yes For New Food Service Program
The Grants Pass School Board voted in favor of participating in the Community Eligibility Provision or CEP which aims to provide free meals to students who qualify, such as recipients of SNAP, TANIF and students known as “categorically eligible” including migrant, foster and runaway children.
The program will provide lunches and breakfasts free to students, and because there are no household applications for free and reduced price meals there is no certification required.
The decision was made in concert with yes votes for five other action items.
The board also recognized and congratulated a number of staff members of various stripes and districts for their retirement, and introduced the new assistant vice principal for North Middle School, Bill Gladbach.
