Medford Police Dogs Outfitted with Bulletproof Vests Courtesy of High School Senior
Medford Police dogs are now protected by bulletproof vests courtesy of High School Senior Shyonna Leach. Leach saw the dogs had no vests and decided it would make a good senior project.

The 18-year-old North Medford student raised $4,000. The two vests cost $2,210, so Leach donated the remainder of the money to the Jackson County Animal Control and Care.

Her father, the late Glen Leach, was a police officer that started the canine unit, and her mother is a Medford Police Detective.
