Suspect Arrested in Cave Junction Stabbing Incident
The Oregon State Police arrested Secundino Baez, 53, of Wolf Creek and charged him with 1st degree assault and unlawful use of a dangerous weapon after he allegedly stabbed Abraham P. Hosmer, 41, just outside of Cave Junction.

Troopers and medical personnel were dispatched to 2612A Chapman Creek Road and found Hosmer with serious stab wounds to the abdomen. He was transported to Three Rivers Medical Center and then transferred to Rogue Regional Medical Center in Medford.

The investigation indicates a disturbance developed in the presence of several area residents and visitors related to loud music coming from a vehicle. The physical altercation erupted during a verbal dispute during which Hosmer was stabbed more than once in the abdomen. Baez is lodged in the Josephine County Jail.
