Fire weather watch goes into effect for Southern Oregon
The Medford branch of the National Weather Service has issued a fire weather watch for Southern Oregon extending from the Illinois Valley and the Rogue River-Siskiyou National Forest eastward to the Klamath Basin.

The fire watch goes into effect Thursday evening and runs until Friday morning.

Strong eastward winds of 10 to 20 mph are predicted with gusts of up to 30 mph and low humidity of approximately 20 to 30 percent creates the possibility for rapid fire growth.
