Grand Jury Indicts Monica on Five Counts
The Jackson County Grand Jury today indicted Susan Monica on five different counts. Monica is the primary suspect in an identity theft for which she was originally arrested Friday afternoon. During that arrest and service of a search warrant for her ranch in the 9100 block of West Evans Creek Road evidence of more heinous crimes was discovered.
Monica was indicted on two counts of murder, one on August 1st, 2012, and one on September 9, 2013. She has also been indicted on two counts of abuse of a corpse by mutilating or dismembering on each of the murder dates. The indictment contained the charge of identity theft by unlawfully possessing, with intent to deceive or defraud, the personal identification of Robert Haney, his Oregon Trail Card which she admitted using.
She was originally arraigned Monday on the I.D. theft and will be arraigned Wednesday on the additional charges.
She is incarcerated in the Jackson County Jail on a no-bail hold.
