Fog Affecting Medford Airport
Fog caused the cancellation of seven flights destined for Medford Airport Sunday evening and diverted several more yesterday.
The unmanned balloon system for dispersing dry ice pellets was able to break up the fog enough Monday morning to allow for several flights to come and go. Once the temperatures rise above freezing the dry ice pellets are no longer effective.
Weather forecasters expect the fog to remain throughout the day but should depart Wednesday as a wet system predicted to arrive.
Passengers should stay in close contact with airlines.
