Trooper’s Traffic Stop Nets 23 Pounds of Cocaine
Two California residents, Vincent Michael Mendez, 22, from Spring Valley, and Alyssa Panziera, 21, of Salinas, are in the Jackson County jail after a State Trooper discovered 23 pounds of cocaine in their car during a routine traffic stop.

Tuesday night at 10:24 a Trooper stopped a four door Chrysler Sebring going north on I-5 near milepost 32 for speeding. During the investigation the cocaine was discovered concealed in the Sebring’s passenger compartment. The coke’s estimated value is over a half million dollars.

Mendez, the driver, and Panziera, a passenger, are charged with unlawful possession and delivery of cocaine.
