Kairos Awarded $350K from Meyer Memorial Trust
The Meyer Memorial Trustís board of trustees awarded more than $1 million in grants to four non-profits in Southern Oregon including $350,000 for Kairos Northwest in Grants Pass.

One of two large capital projects to receive a grant, Kairos will use the funds to help build a new childrenís mental health campus.

The largest of the granted capital projects was to Umpqua Community Development Corporation in Roseburg for the replacement of obsolete trailers and mobile homes with Energy Star manufactured homes. The grant is worth $484,000.

$200,000 goes to the Roseburg Boys and Girls Club to improve the facility and security. The Medford YMCA was granted $50,000 to renovate their facilities.

The Meyer Memorial Trust is one of the largest private foundations in Oregon with assets of approximately $770 million. It was established from the personal estate of Fred G. Meyer and is not connected with Fred Meyer Incorporated.
