The 1,600 acre Brimstone Fire, five miles west of Sunny Valley has made no significant movement overnight and fire lines have been improved on the north and southeast corners and burnouts in those same areas were successful.

Brimstone is 10 percent contained and remains at 2,000 acres and is being fought by 773 personnel. There are road closures on Hog Creek, quartz creek, and Angora Creek. No evacuations have been announced for residential areas around the fire but structural fire protection personnel have assessed all the homes and are standing by.
The Big Windy fire has forced the closure of the wild and scenic section of the Rogue River and threatens several structures including the Black Bar Lodge and the Zane Grey historic cabin. Structural protection crews have been stationed at those structures.
The Big Windy is listed at 2,914 acres with 186 fire fighters assigned to it.
The Labrador Fire remains at 1,750 acres with 425 personnel assigned to it. The advisory evacuation has been issued for the Oak Flat and Brushy Bar areas.
The Douglas Complex has burned 25,396 acres and is being fought by 1,387 fire personnel.
Total acreage burned in this outbreak of five fires is 35,140 acres and there are 3,585 people involved in the firefighting effort.
