Two Medford Transients Jailed after Stabbing Incident
Two Medford transients are in jail and a 48-year-old man suffered minor injuries to his hands and arms following a stabbing incident last night between 8:30 and 9:00 at the intersection of Oakdale Avenue and 6th Street.
Officers determined the man was driving, with two passengers, and saw two men who appeared to be arguing, and then stopped to investigate. The two involved in the argument were Nathan Ramirez, and Whitney Grant, both 21.
Ramirez confronted the group from the car and began swinging his longboard at the three and at their vehicle. During the altercation Grant attacked the 48 year old man with a small knife.
Ramirez and Grant were both intoxicated with Grant being charged with 2nd degree assault and Ramirez with attempted 3rd degree assault. Both were lodged.
The wounded man sought medical attention on his own.
