Former Deputy Chief of the Grants Pass Department of Public Safety, Jeff Geddings, resigned while under investigation according to an article in the Daily Courier.

According to that article Chief Henner told the newspaper the investigation revolved around an alleged inappropriate relationship with a subordinate.

Following a public records request by the Courier, a notice to the Oregon Department of Public Safety Standards and Training signed by Chief Henner on February 14th notifying them Geddings resigned during the investigation was turned over.

The state has the authority to decertify an officer. Many cases are merely reviewed and closed without action.

Chief Henner was quoted as saying there was no record of discipline related to Geddings.
