Number of home listings drop in Josephine County stabilizing home prices
The number of homes listed on the market in Josephine County has continued to drop with 479 homes listed in February which is causing a stabilizing effect on median home prices.
Grants Pass Association of Realtors President Penny Mueller says the drop in homes listed for sale is creating a balanced market. A year prior 618 homes were on the market and in February 2011 763 homes were for sale.
The median home sales price in February was $179,900 which had gradually increased over the previous year from $145,000.
The average home sales price increased as well from approximately $168,000 in February 2012 to roughly $212,000 last month.
