Ashland Community Hospital announced yesterday it has reached agreement with Asante Health System to manage the smaller hospital and the current CEO at ACH will leave the organization May 1st.

Under terms of the agreement Marvin Haas, who has served as chief administrative officer at Asante for 13 years will assume the role of CEO at the Ashland Hospital, replacing current CEO Mark Marchetti.

The shift comes as the two organizations continue negotiations on a deal to turn over the Ashland Hospital to Asante, which must be approved by the Ashland City Council. The council has already signed a letter of intent outlining the agreement.
