Authorities were notified of a man being hit by a car Sunday night at 8:30. Jackson County Sheriff’s deputies, Fire District 3 and Mercy Flights ambulances all converged at the Table Rock Road location at the same time.

The man was pronounced dead at the scene at 8:41 p.m.

Details remain sketchy as the investigators try to determine what happened.

The man’s name has not been released.
