Sunday morning at 4:25 a 2000 GMC Yukon was northbound in the southbound lanes of Interstate 5 at milepost 102, 3 miles north of Canyonville and collided head on with a 2010 Kia sedan, killing the Kia driver, 44 year old Victor Anderson from Oakland, Oregon.


The driver of the GMC, 26 year old Joshua Davis of Eugene, was transported to Mercy Medical Center in Roseburg with non-life threatening injuries. He was using safety restraints.

It is not known if the Kia driver was using restraints but his airbags did deploy.
