Teen Girl Jumps 10th Street Bridge in Medford; Condition is Stable
A fifteen year old Talent girl is listed in stable condition at the Rogue Regional Medical Center after jumping from the 10th Street Bridge over Bear Creek.
Medford police were dispatched at about 5:35 p.m. Tuesday after a report came in of a female hanging off the railing on the creek side of the bridge. An officer saw the young woman on the bridge but before he could reach her she jumped about 25 to 30 feet and landed on the rocks in about a foot of water.
The investigation indicates the girl suffers from depression and jumped in an apparent suicide attempt.
