A raid was conducted on a Panther Gulch residence in Williams February 1st according to a press release posted yesterday by the Rogue Area Drug Enforcement, RADE, and the Medford Area Drug and Gang Enforcement, known as MADGE.


Their combined forces executed the search warrant that culminated an illegal money laundering and marijuana distribution investigation. Detectives seized 161 pounds of marijuana, 23 firearms, and small amounts of heroin, cocaine, and mushrooms.


The residence was the home of Michael Canepa, 53, who was not at home at the time of the raid, but he was traced to a Grants Pass Motel on February 11th where he was taken into custody without incident and a small amount of heroin was seized along with other evidence. He was lodged in the Josephine County Jail.
