Central Point Woman Faces 10 Counts of Aggravated Theft
Jodi Lynn Setzer, 42, of Central Point, was arrested for identity theft and tampering with drug records last July for writing false prescriptions for pain killers while working for Dr. Carmeci. Setzer and her attorney met with Medford Detectives yesterday and was arrested and jailed on ten counts of aggravated theft for allegedly embezzling more than a quarter million dollars from three employers.
Following her arrest for the false prescriptions Medford’s Financial Investigations section began receiving reports of financial fraud involving Setzer.
Three businesses have been identified as having money stolen, again allegedly by Setzer: Dr. Sandra Carmeci, Noel Lesley Event Services, and a Rainier attorney, Steven Peterson.
Setzer is accused of taking a total of $263,882 from these businesses.
