The Oregon Department of Forestry is planning a controlled burn in the Granite Estates area today. 40 acres will be involved in the burn five miles southwest of Grants Pass in the Ridgecrest Drive/Demeray Drive area.

Area residents should be alert for forestry and fire containment vehicles.
