Providence CEO Accepts V.P. Position with Kaiser Permanente
Tom Hanenburg, Chief Executive Officer of Providence Health and Services in Jackson County, announced he will leave Medford in mid-March to become senior vice president and area manager for Kaiser Foundation Health Plan and Kaiser Permanente in the greater southern Alameda County area.
He will be going to a $48 billion organization, based south of Oakland, California in an area with 240,000 Kaiser Health Plan members.
During his Jackson County tenure Providence’s market share has grown with the addition of cardiology, stroke, and neurology care and the opening of clinics in Eagle Point, Central Point and Phoenix.
Providence has plans in place to provide interim leadership during the search for a new chief executive.
