A three alarm fire destroyed a two story farm home in the 1700 block of North Valley View Road Wednesday afternoon. Fire crews reported flames through the roof upon arrival 12 minutes after the initial 911 call.

Homeowners Cate and Bill Yocum, and their adult son were home when the fire was discovered, according to firefighters, originating in the daylight basement. No cause has yet been determined as investigators are still on the scene.

There were no injuries reported even when the home’s roof collapsed during firefighting efforts.

The home was built in 1989 and the Yocums have lived there since 1993.
