Boat Inspection Stations Open at Ashland Port of Entry
The aquatic invasive species boat inspection station at the Ashland Port of Entry opened Monday. All vehicles carrying motorized or non-motorized boats, including kayaks, canoes and paddleboats are required to stop. Failure to do so could result in a $110 fine.

Inspections usually take less than ten minutes if boats are free of aquatic invasive species. If a boat is discovered with such species it will be decontaminated on site with a hot water pressure washer. There is no penalty or cost if the boat is found to be contaminated with invasive species.

Inspection stations will be opening in Gold Beach, Klamath Falls, Lakeview, and Ontario in the coming months.
