State Troopers are investigating Wednesday afternoon’s single vehicle fatal crash along Highway 199 about eight miles south of Cave Junction that resulted in the death of a 75-year-old man and critical injuries to a 65-year-old woman.

According to the Trooper’s press release at approximately 1:54 p.m. a 2005 Dodge Pickup driven by the man, was southbound near milepost 37 when it failed to negotiate a curve. The pickup crossed the northbound lane and crashed into a tree.
