Hudson Trial in Hands of Jury
Judge Hull gave the trial of the Kiley Hudson, accused of murdering Gary Salomon, to the jury at 10:20 this morning after explaining the jury’s options.

The jury must find the crime occurred within Josephine County on July 11, 2011 and the defendant intentionally caused the death of another in order to return a guilty of murder verdict. A guilty verdict must have all 12 jurors agreeing. A not guilty verdict only requires 10 of 12 to agree.

Should a not guilty verdict be returned, the jurors may find the defendant guilty of manslaughter one or two, or criminally negligent homicide. The standard of 10 of 12 jurors agreeing for either guilty or not guilty applies for these lessor charges.

There is no estimate of when a verdict will be returned
