Renovation Requested by Tee Time Owners
Community Development Director Michael Black outlined desires of the owners of the Tee Time Building to renovate the building at Monday’s workshop.
The plan would include the installation of a 15 foot wide sidewalk on the west side of the building facing the public parking lot, allowing the building to subdivide and make room for additional retail businesses facing west.
Some renovation would be made to the alleyway and to the parking lot with the parking lot actually gaining 1 to 2 parking places from the existing 36.
Some landscaping will have to be changed but the building owners have agreed to pay for the entire project with the city gaining owner ship of the sidewalk and the parking lot improvements extending its life.
Councilors gave a thumbs up to the concept.
Councilors also approached the changes to city charter that were defeated in the general election and will likely revisit those proposed changes with the exception of the changes to the Mayor’s position which the council feels was the main reason the amendments were defeated.
Expect the council to endeavor to have the new amendment on the May ballot.
