A Monday morning house fire in Central Point destroyed one bedroom and caused smoke damage throughout a home at 447 Grand Avenue.

Fire District #3 crews arrived within five minutes of the alarm and found flames in the back bedroom of the one story home. The homeowners, Andrew and Darci Poe were out of the house before fire crews arrived.

Most of the damage was confined to the bedroom but smoke damage permeated the residence. The cause of the fire was unknown.
