Mt. Ashland’s Monday Ski Day Wiped Out by Power Outage
A downed power line knocked out power to the Mt. Ashland Ski area yesterday forcing the facility to close.
A tree fell through power lines in the 330 block of Old Highway 99 South at 8:22 Monday morning knocking out power not only to Mt. Ashland but 302 Pacific Power customers including Callahan’s Mountain Lodge, which had about 300 guests visiting.
Power was restored to all customers at 2:36 p.m. Mt. Ashland, normally closed on Tuesday and Wednesday, will re-open Thursday.
