Veteran author chats on radio show and holds book signing in Grants Pass
Author and Vietnam veteran Karl Marlantes, who wrote Times bestsellers Matterhorn: A Novel of the Vietnam War and What it is Like to Go to War, will chat on a local radio talk show and then will appear at the Rogue Community College in Grants Pass for a book signing.
Marlantes writes about his experiences in Vietnam, how those experiences went beyond the battlefield and had lasting effects in his life and how we could better prepare our young soldiers for the rigors and stresses of war.
Carl Wilson will be holding a half-hour Talk Show with Marlantes via telephone on KAJO AM 1270 at 9:35 a.m. Tuesday.
Marlantes will then appear on the RCC Redwood Campus in the Rogue Auditorium where he will speak and sign books from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Friday, Feb. 1. The book signing is presented by the Josephine Community Libraries Incorporated. Tickets are $5 per person to the general public and free to financially contributing library members who show their member sticker. Tickets are on sale at all Community Library branches and the Oregon Books & Games store in Grants Pass.
