Delays expected at Medford Airport due to fog and disabled radar
Several flights have been delayed over the past couple days due to heavy fog around the Medford Airport.
Nearly a dozen flights were delayed between Thursday and Friday that were destined for varying parts of the country.
Airport officials say the delays are partway caused by their Cable Attached System Providing Effective Release helium balloon, which spreads dry ice pellets that dissipate fog so airplanes can land and take off, has been grounded due to its radar system being disabled.
Freezing fog is predicted to cover the valley each night into next week.
