OSP arrests California man with 12 pounds of meth in his car
The Oregon State Police arrested a California resident near Ashland on I-5 at milepost 11 at approximately 8:40 a.m. Thursday and during a search of his vehicle they located over 12 pounds of meth.
A trooper stopped a 2006 Nissan Altima on the interstate in the northbound lanes for a speed violation. The driver of the vehicle was identified as 28-year-old Jesus Paz Flores and during a subsequent search of his Altima troopers located approximately 12.5 pounds of methamphetamine.
Estimated street value of the drugs is roughly $190,000.
Troopers took Flores into custody and he is lodged in the Jackson County Jail on charges of unlawful manufacture, possession and distribution of meth.
