Hudson’s Wife Testifies in 2nd Day of Murder Trial
In the 2nd day of testimony in the Kiley Hudson Murder trial Deanna Hudson, the wife of the accused, was called to testify by the prosecution. Judge Hull explained to Mrs. Hudson that she did not have to testify in her husband’s murder trial.
Mrs. Hudson stated she wanted to testify.
In response to questions Mrs. Hudson testified when they returned home Gary Salomon was in the street walking toward their home and seemed agitated saying he wanted to talk and Kiley responded with not now. Salomon pressed his desire to talk and pushed Kiley at which point Kiley pushed him back and the two engaged.
According to Mrs. Hudson it was at this time the neighbor, Cliff Eagleston appeared and in her words attacked her husband separating Kiley and Gary Salomon. At this time she did not know Salomon had been stabbed.
In her interview with police, Mrs. Hudson asked for an attorney.
An earlier witness, another neighbor, Steve King, testified he heard the loud argument and said his wife saw the struggle become physical and King then called 911. He approached the pair and it appeared punches were being thrown.
King testified he heard Cliff Eagleston’s wife Susie say get an ambulance. He’s been stabbed. King did not see Salomon put a choke hold on Hudson and it appeared Salomon was trying to get away. He did not see the stabbing but overheard Hudson say the knife was in a sweatshirt in the garage.
Mrs. Hudson was still on the witness stand when the proceedings adjourned and will resume her testimony this morning.
