Wolf Creek residents Riley and Misti Gunn are now millionaires after winning a $1 million cash prize in the Mega Millions January 4 drawing.

Riley purchased the $8 Quick Pick Mega Millions ticket at the Lil’ Pantry Market & Deli in Merlin and he added the Megaplier option which quadrupled the $250,000 winning ticket.

Riley had recently returned to school after being laid off just a few months ago.

The Gunn family received $670,000 after state and federal taxes were withheld. They are the Oregon Lottery’s 299th millionaires.
