Commissioners and other county elected officials sworn into office
Judge Lindi Baker swore in the newly elected county officials today at the Anne Basker Auditorium in a packed room that included many heads of county departments including Sheriff Gil Gilbertson, Public Health Director Diane Hoover and Airports Manager Larry Graves.
“When we have a swearing in ceremony it’s always an important day for us because it’s a new beginning. It’s a time for Josephine County to come together, put old disagreements aside, and look toward our future,” Baker said.
Sworn in at the ceremony included newcomers Keith Heck as County Commissioner position two, Cherryl Walker as County Commissioner position three and Eve Arce as County Treasurer. Incumbents County Clerk and Recorder Art Harvey, County Surveyor Peter Allen, County Assessor Connie Roach and District Attorney Stephen Campbell also were sworn into their positions.
